吠舍离
[font=宋体][size=12pt]在佛陀时代十六大国中的跋耆（[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman]Vajji[/font][/size][font=宋体][size=12pt]，又译为「弗栗恃」）联邦，是由离车、毘提诃、跋耆等八个部族共同组成，他们没有位高权重的国王，而是各个部族推派民意代表，组成议会一起商议政策治理国家，因此跋耆联邦很可能是世界上第一个共和国，而这个共和国的国都，就是历史名城[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman]-[/font][/size][font=宋体][size=12pt]吠舍离（[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman]Vaishali[/font][/size][font=宋体][size=12pt]）！[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman] [/font][/size]
[font=宋体][size=12pt] 吠舍离（[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman]Vaishali[/font][/size][font=宋体][size=12pt]）是跋耆联邦中离车族（[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman]Licchavi[/font][/size][font=宋体][size=12pt]）的首府，[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman] [/font][/size][font=宋体][size=12pt]佛陀在[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman]39[/font][/size][font=宋体][size=12pt]岁左右初次来到吠舍离，日后亦经常在此游化讲学；在这座王城近郊，[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman] [/font][/size][font=宋体][size=12pt]世尊首次接受了女众出家成为僧伽，是当时平静小村中一件不平凡的大事，也是佛教史上重要的里程碑。[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman] [/font][/size]
[font=宋体][size=12pt] 世尊过逝前几个月，从王舍城展开了最后的行脚，祂渡过恒河来到吠舍离，并在这里净住了许多天，留下很多珍贵的谆谆遗教与殷殷告诫。[/size][/font][size=12pt][font=Times New Roman] [/font][/size]
